chase turns 1 !

 how adorable is this little guy? his parents are close friends of mine who play a big role in the young life community. it was a perfect spring day, ideal for a birthday party. the barbecue was hot, the bounce house was in full use, and the football was flying high. it was a wonderful gathering of friends and family that adore the mays family. excited to continue to capture this baby-cakes as he gets older.

"beauty by the bay". we got to experience a glimpse of summer this particular day. it was quite hot to say the least. this is my dear friend veronica who was also a roommate at one point and time. she will be graduating in may and will be making her way to grad school soon after. graduation is the greatest excuse for a photo-shoot, so we embraced it. this was one of our favorite areas that contains a lot of college memories. We also got to create a new memory -- we had the pleasure of meeting an old gentleman that shared joy and a whole lotta laughter with us that day.

such a stunner she is. this day we decided to go on a random trail in la jolla and shoot together. she is one of the most talented photographers i know and i'm so blessed to have the opportunity to learn from her -- shoot, she is the one who taught me how to properly use my camera. i guess you could say she's pretty amazing.

this girl. my partner in crime. we went for a spontaneous run a few weeks ago and came across this rad location. i was eager to do a shoot and without hesitation she was willing! -- a little background. she has been my best friend and roommate for the past three years. can't express how blessed i am to have her in my life. she has taught me to be more patient, humble, and kind. if you don't know her already, you need to.

this is my oldest sister and her sweet little family. also featured is baby grace's grandma. this was during my other sister's wedding weekend in kansas city, we snuck away for a quick shoot. fall was in full fledge--leaves falling, wind blowing, and clouds rolling... makes me miss living in the midwest. don't have to ask me twice to take pictures of them, they are so dear to my heart.
